We bring over 14 years of experience in investigating financial records and compiling audit trails for use as legal evidence. In 2011, we supported a group of investors and the Ontario Securities Commission by assembling financial documentation related to a fraudulent operation. Our work contributed to penalties being issued against individuals who had raised over $50 million from more than 500 investors, involving $82 million in securities, despite the operation being insolvent. In 2013, we conducted a detailed investigation of internal banking transactions within a corporate setting. The resulting documentation, submitted to the RCMP, led to a conviction for fraud. Leveraging our tax expertise, we also helped the client recover their full tax credits by correcting fraudulent bookkeeping entries. In a subsequent case, we investigated financial breaches within a not-for-profit society.
